Ellen Woodrow is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in illustration, portraiture, textiles, and digital media.
Her study of oil painting began at age ten, when she started working odd jobs to pay for her own private lessons from a prominent Bay Area artist.
In the following decades, she has studied portraiture at the San Francisco Art Institute; collaborated on large-scale international mixed media works; designed award-winning branding materials; contributed feature display work to support local, independent art supply stores, and spent two years studying the unique natural light in Oregon and its impact on artist perception when painting landscapes.
She currently resides in Alameda, CA.
